When You Feel Like You Have Nothing Left

When You Feel Like You Have Nothing Left

When You Feel Like You Have Nothing Left

Isaiah 40:28–31 (ESV)

Maybe today you’re tired. Not just physically tired, but weary in your soul. You’ve been carrying burdens that no one else sees. You’ve been praying, serving, waiting, hoping, and wondering how much longer you can keep going. If that’s you, hear these words from Isaiah: “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary… He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength… but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength…” (Isaiah 40:28–31, ESV)

What a beautiful reminder. God has never once been exhausted by your situation. He has never looked at your life and thought, This is too much for Me. The One who created the stars has not grown weary, and He has not grown tired of caring for you. The world tells us to push harder, work longer, and somehow find strength within ourselves. But God says something completely different. He invites the weary to come to Him.

Notice that He doesn’t promise to make us strong because we are capable. He promises to give strength to those who admit they aren’t. That’s good news. You don’t have to pretend you’re okay. You don’t have to fake confidence or carry every burden on your own. The Lord delights in meeting weak people with His unlimited strength. And then comes one of the greatest promises in all of Scripture: “Those who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength.”

Waiting doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means placing your hope in God. It means trusting Him even when you can’t see what He’s doing. It means believing that His timing is perfect, His plans are good, and His grace will be enough for today. God may not remove every hardship immediately, but He will always supply the strength you need to keep walking with Him. So if you’re weary today, don’t give up. Lift your eyes. The same God who has carried His people through every generation is carrying you. He will strengthen you. He will sustain you. He will not fail you. And when your own strength is gone, you may discover that’s exactly where His strength shines the brightest.

Keep waiting. Keep trusting. Keep looking to Jesus. Your strength may have limits, but His never will.
