Mother’s Day Gratitude

Mother’s Day always reminds me of how much of life is built on the quiet faithfulness of women who love deeply, sacrifice daily, and keep showing up even when nobody sees the weight they carry. Today, I find myself especially thankful for three incredible women in my life: my mom, my mother-in-law, and my wife, April.

Each of them has impacted my life in different ways, but all three have reflected something powerful about the heart of God through the way they love, serve, and care for others.

I’m thankful for my mom. For the prayers she prayed. For the sacrifices she made. For the foundation she helped lay in my life. There are things a mother pours into her children that they don’t fully understand until years later. The older I get, the more I recognize the strength, patience, and love it took to raise, guide, and care for a family.

I’m thankful for my mother-in-law. For the kindness, support, wisdom, and love she has shown over the years. One of the greatest blessings in life is gaining family who genuinely loves and supports you, and I’m grateful for the role she plays in our lives and in the lives of our children.

And I’m deeply thankful for my wife, April. Watching her love and lead our family has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. I’ve seen her carry burdens quietly, pray faithfully, encourage constantly, and love our children with incredible patience and strength. So much of what makes our home feel safe, warm, and grounded comes from her steady presence.

The truth is, motherhood often happens in the unseen moments. It’s the rides, the meals, the prayers, the late nights, the worrying, the comforting, the constant giving of yourself for the sake of others. And while the world may not always stop to notice those moments, God does. Proverbs 31:28 says:“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” Today I just want to say thank you. Thank you to the mothers who keep loving when they’re tired. Thank you to the women who hold families together through prayer, wisdom, and sacrifice. Thank you for the ways you reflect the compassion, gentleness, and faithfulness of Christ.

And I also know Mother’s Day can carry mixed emotions for many. For some, it’s joyful. For others, it’s painful. Some are grieving loss, carrying wounds, or longing for things that have not yet happened. But in every season, God sees the heart. He sees every unseen sacrifice and every act of love done faithfully. Today, I’m simply grateful. Grateful for my mom. Grateful for my mother-in-law. Grateful for my wife. And grateful for the countless ways God uses faithful women to shape homes, families, and generations. Happy Mother’s Day. ❤️
